Creative Certification — Eligibility Criteria

For Photographers, Stylists, Directors & Production Creatives

Effective: February 2026

Photographers, stylists, directors, makeup artists, hair stylists, videographers, and other production creatives are critical collaborators in the modeling ecosystem and often work directly with models in vulnerable situations. To qualify for Model ID Certification, creatives must meet the following ethical, professional, and safeguarding standards.

1Professional Conduct History

Applicants must confirm that they have never been subject to disciplinary action or legal proceedings for:

  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct on set
  • Coercion to pose nude or undress
  • Intimidation, verbal abuse, or psychological pressure
  • Taking or using unauthorized images, especially involving nudity or vulnerability

Any misrepresentation of past conduct may result in immediate revocation of certification.

2Commitment to Ethical Set Behavior

Applicants must agree to adhere to the Model ID Code of Conduct for Certified Creatives, which includes:

  • Respecting the physical and emotional boundaries of all models and staff
  • Ensuring that private changing areas are available on all shoots
  • Avoiding demeaning, objectifying, or sexualized language in professional settings
  • Never being alone with a model in enclosed or private settings unless explicitly consented and agreed upon in advance

3Safeguarding Declaration

All creatives must confirm:

  • They understand Model ID's safeguarding expectations
  • They will immediately report observed misconduct on set through Model ID's reporting system
  • They will not retaliate against individuals who raise concerns

4Identity Verification

All creatives must complete identity verification through our secure verification partner (Stripe). This confirms:

  • Legal identity matches application details
  • Applicant is a real person (not a fake profile or AI-generated identity)
  • Government-issued ID has been verified

5Ongoing Compliance

  • Certified creatives agree to ongoing accountability and understand that Model ID reserves the right to issue warnings, suspend, or revoke certification if complaints or violations are identified through the reporting system

Model ID Creative Certification aims to protect models, set a higher standard in the industry, and promote a culture of safety, respect, and transparency across all creative teams.
