Certification Mark Usage Guidelines

Preamble

These guidelines regulate and protect the proper use of the IMF Certification Mark by certified agencies, ensuring consistency, integrity, and public trust in the IMF certification system.

1What Is the IMF Certification Mark?

The IMF Certification Mark is a registered visual symbol that confirms an agency's adherence to the International Modeling Foundation's ethical standards and safeguarding framework.

2Who May Use the Mark?

Only modeling agencies officially certified by IMF, and whose certification is currently valid and in good standing, are permitted to display the Certification Mark.

3Approved Uses

Certified agencies may use the mark in:

  • Agency websites (homepages, about pages, certifications)
  • Printed marketing materials (brochures, business cards)
  • Social media (posts, bios)
  • Contracts and official agency communications
  • Physical offices (e.g., front desk, certificate display)

4Prohibited Uses

  • Use by uncertified or suspended agencies
  • Misleading placement suggesting IMF endorsement of individuals or specific talent
  • Altering the design, color, or shape of the mark
  • Using the mark in political, defamatory, or unrelated commercial materials
  • Printing the mark on merchandise or products

5Visual Standards

  • The mark must appear in its original proportions and not be stretched or distorted
  • It must be clearly visible and not pixelated, obscured, or embedded within other logos
  • Minimum size: 1.5 cm wide (for print); 100 pixels wide (digital)
  • Clear space: Maintain at least 20% of the mark's width as padding on all sides

6Certification Statement

Certified agencies may use the following phrase:

"[Agency Name] is certified by the International Modeling Foundation for ethical and safeguarding standards."

7Monitoring & Enforcement

  • IMF monitors mark usage regularly
  • Violations may result in formal warnings, certification suspension, or legal action

8Reporting Misuse

Anyone may report suspected misuse of the IMF Certification Mark to compliance@modelingfoundation.org.

Use of the IMF Certification Mark is a privilege of certification. Misuse undermines public trust and will be treated as a serious compliance matter.
